“After the Rain” is a series compiled of pieces that I’ve poured my heart into. I’m drawn to florals and landscapes and was able to focus on them throughout this year. These paintings provided me a much needed escape from the events going on in our world. Nature’s colors and tiny details are my source of peace and calm. I was able to immerse myself in the process, honing my technique, each piece a progression from the last. You’ll find that each painting is uniquely its own, woven vibrantly together in an impressionistic impasto style. Palette knives are my main tool, followed by a tiny brush for the little details. The aim is to present you with work that is joyful and unrestrained, alleviating your mind from the stresses of everyday life and to remember there is always sunshine after the rain.
